Finally getting around to blogging about this fun, nostalgic, vintage feel, holiday family shoot. As I was editing I kept thinking about all the fun holiday movies we watched as kids - Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Die Hard......
When Katie reached out to me with her idea to gift a family photo session to her parents around Christmas I was super happy! Her and her siblings know how much mom loves her photos and it has become a tradition for them to try and plan a family photo session when the entire gang is together.

I wanted to capture that warm glow, cozy indoors, nostalgic feeling. Katie's family is so welcoming, they made it easy! It really helped that this photo session was in an 1800s remodeled home that was so elegantly updated keeping all the historic charm. As I alway say, every family session comes out a bit unique because every family IS unique. This one did not disappoint.
This was a nice ending to an amazing holiday season!!! Now bring on spring 😜
